Hi, I'm Valerie!

My biggest goal is to build a life that feels the most fun, enjoyable, and authentic to me. I hope to always be able to expand my worldview, grow, experience a much as possible, and take life by the ball sack.

I live nomadically - it is a lifestyle that seems to work well for many non-linear thinkers.

I'm a Scorpio sun, Gemini moon, Aries rising - I love all things mystical, whimsical, esoteric, and true-crime-related.

Every morning, I write an intention to place in my fairy altar. The intention is simply to have the best, most love-filled day ever.

My Business Start

I started Doll & Dollhouse with the intention of solving a pain point that I had struggled with for many years - not having enough purpose or direction to mold my career into something that felt like me.

I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a different degree (Linguistics) than the one I started out with (Nursing). After university ended, I tried more than 10 roles / industries across 6 different countries.

While I enjoyed my adventurous lifestyle and the invaluable rewards that each experience gave me, I still felt like something big was missing.

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out my next moves. It took me nearly two years after the end of my last small business to start Doll & Dollhouse.

I used those days to do some freelance work, research "A Day in the Life of a [an endless list of autonomous careers]," study entrepreneurs in their habitat, learn astrology, figure out which questions to ask myself, and most importantly, understand myself on a deep enough level to know my own core values.

Those values were the missing puzzle piece - they became my greatest life compass and grounding force.

I learned how to shape my life and decisions around my core values, which has led me to where I am now today!
