About

Dog health and nutrition are not just my passion; they are my calling. My name is Riesa Renata from Melbourne, Australia, and together with my furry sidekick – Bowie – we are the creator of Master Bowie. I am a certified canine nutritionist, raw dog food specialist, author and dog chef who loves creating ‘Master Chef’ meals for my Labrador, Bowie and other dogs. Together with Bowie, I am on mission to spread joy through ‘Good Food’, inspiring, empowering and helping dog parents so they can nourish their dogs, one bowl at a time.

I was trained as a graphic designer and worked in corporate jobs before pivoting to follow my passion for dog nutrition. During the COVID pandemic, I began sharing the meals I made for Bowie, and it just grew organically from there – building the Master Bowie brand and community, becoming a certified canine nutritionist, writing and publishing two dog recipe books and becoming a dog chef.

Through my own experience with Bowie, I’ve witnessed firsthand the healing power of whole foods, and I truly believe that good health starts with good food. So, it’s as simple as that – I strive to make ‘Good Food’ for dogs – Real food that tastes good, looks good and most importantly makes our dogs feel good, physically and mentally! 

Career

We all strive to find our own "ikigai" – our "reason for being" – by finding the intersection of what we love, what we're good at, what the world needs and what we can be paid for. What I currently do is my second go at finding my "ikigai".

I love what I do and feel a strong sense of purpose in it. I take immense pride in my work, crafting each dog food and recipe with care and love. Seeing the dogs relish the meals I make and the joy on their owners' faces is truly rewarding and fills me with immense joy.

It's a privilege to be part of and to help dog parents on their dogs' health journey. I feel blessed to be able to inspire, empower and support them in improving their dogs' diet. It brings me joy to see the positive impact of a nutritious whole foods diet on their dogs' health, and to watch dog parents feel happy and confident about making the right choices for their dogs. I'm also proud to have built a safe, loving and supportive "Master Bowie" community where dog parents can all learn, inspire and support each other to be the best guardians for their dogs.
