About

I was born in a suburb outside of Chicago, IL, but by age 9, I moved to Atlanta, GA, after my father passed away from cancer. My mom sought a fresh start, and Atlanta became our new home. My father, a businessman, left an indelible mark on me. I remember accompanying him to work, traveling with him on business trips, and sitting in his classes at Northwestern University's Kellogg Business School. These experiences ignited my passion for business, even if I didn’t realize it at the time.

When we moved to Atlanta, I channeled my entrepreneurial spirit by selling handcrafted soap in my neighborhood, rather than the typical lemonade. I also found joy in sports, particularly tennis, a sport both my parents enjoyed. This passion carried me through college, where I played tennis and pursued a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing at Tennessee State University.

My career began in sports marketing with the Nashville Predators and the Atlanta Braves, but I soon pivoted to digital marketing, a field that captivated me completely. I immersed myself in various aspects of digital marketing, from Search Engine Optimization and blogging to website strategy, graphic design, and sales. This journey led me to establish my own consulting business, Blackwood Impact Group, where I empower impactful entrepreneurs to build, grow, and scale their businesses.

My strength lies in my ability to build strong relationships through active listening, networking, and genuine connections. This skill has been a cornerstone of my success, allowing me to create a robust network of clients, partners, and associates. As the Founder and Brand Revenue Strategist at Blackwood Impact Group, I have a proven track record of transforming brands with effective messaging and growth strategies.

Beyond my professional life, I am a dedicated mompreneur, balancing work with culinary experiments and adventures with my 4-year-old son. My journey is a blend of entrepreneurship, business development, and the joys of motherhood, and I am excited to share my experiences and insights with those seeking to break free from the traditional corporate mold and pursue their passions.

Career

As the Principal Consultant and Business Growth Coach, my role is to guide impactful entrepreneurs in building, growing, and scaling their businesses by enhancing their brand positioning, marketing messaging, and sales conversions. I am passionate about helping entrepreneurs make smart marketing decisions that lead to predictable revenue and avoid wasted investments in ineffective marketing strategies.

What I love most about my job is witnessing the transformation of entrepreneurs as they achieve success, not just in terms of revenue but in leaving a lasting legacy and making a greater impact on the world. My achievements include earning an Executive MBA from Georgia State University, being Sandler Silver Certified, and becoming a StoryBrand Certified Guide. I co-founded and successfully sold Blue Key Interactive, a digital marketing agency where I drove 80% of the gross revenue, highlighting my ability to deliver high-quality services and valuable insights.

My diverse background spans various industries, including IT, Healthcare, Professional Services, Government, Sports & Entertainment, E-commerce, Non-Profits, and Music and Arts.
