About
Hi, I’m Charlotte, a British designer and colour consultant based in Milan. My journey into design and colour began over a decade ago in Australia, where I first dipped my toes into the world of interiors as an assistant at an acclaimed interior design school. When I returned to the UK, I pursued a degree in Illustration, which sparked a deeper fascination for the role (and power) of colour across art, design, and interiors.
Driven to specialise in this field (who knew that colour consulting was a real job? I certainly didn’t but I was determined to find out more), I went on to complete advanced studies in Colour for Interiors, Applied Colour Psychology, and Advanced Colour Techniques.
Landing my dream job at a popular UK paint brand was a pivotal moment in my career. I was immersed in the world of colour and gained invaluable experience, but over time, I realised that working 9-5 just wasn’t for me. I wanted more freedom and the chance to create something truly my own. So, I took the leap to start my own business, following my passion but, most importantly, prioritising my happiness.
Some fun facts about me:
- I love travelling, and one of my goals in starting my own business was to have the freedom to travel more and the flexibility to work from anywhere. My favourite destinations so far? The Azores and Bali.
- Swimming is my therapy! In my free time, you’ll often find me at the local pool or in the ocean - the colder the water, the better!
- Italy has been my home for the past five years - the food, coffee, artisanal approach to design and the mountains are just a few of the reasons I love it here.
- I’m passionate about lifelong learning and personal development and am currently exploring art therapy courses alongside my business.
Career
As a colour consultant, I get to spend every day talking about colour with people across the globe—not a bad way to spend my time! My work involves helping individuals, couples, and families choose the perfect paint colours to bring their homes to life. For me, the real ‘why’ behind what I do is to help create homes that don’t just look good but feel good and support the people living inside - colour is simply my tool.
I specialize in remote consultations, which has allowed me to build a flexible, global practice, connecting with clients across continents and working alongside prestigious paint brands. I primarily work on residential projects, partnering closely with homeowners, but I also take on select commercial projects, including cafes, boutique hotels, and holiday rentals.
My role as a designer and colour expert goes beyond consultations—it also includes coaching design professionals, collaborating with brands and businesses on bespoke colour projects, and designing homeware, including several wallpaper collections for the UK paint brand Lick. I love the variety in my work (another reason for starting my own business), and my approach to every project is rooted in a deep understanding of the unique individuals, families, or teams I work with.

Time slots: 30 minutes, 60 minutes
Virtual Career Tour: Through video chat, I will walk you through what I do for a living —covering job responsibilities, how to get started, the skills you’ll need, educational paths, insights from my own experience, etc. I'll answer as many of your questions as I can and share practical advice to help you take the next steps if this path aligns with your goals!

While I can share general advice and insights, I am unable to provide region-specific legal, tax, or business setup guidance. However, I can guide you through industry best practices and offer practical steps that are not location-specific.
