About

Hey there! I'm Rae, and I am inspired by pursuing a life full of creativity, authenticity, and community. I have a background in early childhood education and psychology. However, I have also been making art for as long as I can remember. I enjoy exploring many different mediums and also grew up playing music and writing poetry and songs on the piano. I was always playing outside as a child and making creations with clay, jewelry, or pencils.

In my early twenties I taught 2nd grade for one year and realized it wasn't a realistic long term career for me. I wanted to pursue something I was very passionate about. I began my tattoo apprenticeship in 2021, and left my 9-5 lifestyle behind in order to seek ease, flexibility and a life that could support my healing journey as I deal with chronic illness.

I also have studied astrology through self-paced guides and books since 2017. I love connecting with folks through spiritual practice and have a deep appreciation for astrology, herbalism, somatic work, and tarot.

I can help guide you to find your own version of practicing as an intuitive artist or intuitive tattoo artist. I am very interested in education and mentorship and would love to share my knowledge.

Career

My role as an intuitive tattoo artist combines my love of artwork with deep spiritual work and interpretation of natal charts. Intuitive tattoo artists all offer different experiences based on their unique set of spiritual gifts or skills.

This role is very unique and there are not a lot of intuitive tattoo practitioners. However, the tattoo field is growing rapidly and tattoo clients are seeking out a more meaningful tattoo experience that helps them connect to their own mind, body, and spirit. Folks are often drawn to this process because they desire a tattoo that has been crafted for them with careful thought and intention.

The best part of my job is guiding someone through their own spiritual experience and providing support. I also love creating a drawing and tattoo that reflects their energy.

Long term skills and assets you would need to develop for this: tattoo education or apprenticeship, blood-born pathogen training, drawing skills, business branding/social media account, at least one spiritual study within an area of your choice (ie-astrology, tarot, numerology, palm reading, or other ideas).

Day to day offers flexibility as you begin to form a client base. You can work from home to do emails, marketing, and drawing. You would spend at least a few days in a tattoo studio as well. I started with a 4 day "in studio" work week and went down to 3 over time.

You would need to form a schedule and routine for how you want to take clients on. You need a reading or consult session which could be in person or via video call. Then you would book their tattoo session as well. You must take time to find a method that works best for you! I can help you figure that out.

Time slots: 30 minutes, 60 minutes

Virtual Career Tour: Through video chat, I will walk you through what I do for a living —covering job responsibilities, how to get started, the skills you’ll need, educational paths, insights from my own experience, etc. I'll answer as many of your questions as I can and share practical advice to help you take the next steps if this path aligns with your goals! 

Many of my career responsibilities and insights are applicable worldwide, regardless of where you’re located. While I can share general advice and insights, I am unable to provide region-specific legal, tax, or business setup guidance. However, I can guide you through industry best practices and offer practical steps that are not location-specific.
