About

I'm a surfer and someone who’s always loved being outdoors, so caring about the environment has come naturally to me. The beauty of the world around me has always been a source of inspiration for my art.

In college, I studied sustainability, though it wasn’t my main focus. My major was interdisciplinary, which suited my curiosity but left me unsure about a clear career path. Still, I always knew two things for certain: I love art, and I care deeply about the environment.

I’ve been a painter my whole life, but I’ve always loved experimenting with new mediums. While living in Hawai’i, I started collecting microplastics that washed up on the beach and turned them into jewelry, which I sold around the island. That project sparked something deeper in me. In my final years of college, I began creating art on clothing, teaching myself how to paint, embroider, and screen print on secondhand garments.

I’ve always had an interest in turning "trash into treasure" because so many items are thrown away too quickly due to overconsumption. I wanted to challenge that mindset and inspire people to repurpose what they already own rather than buy something new.

After graduating, I realized the career I wanted didn’t really exist. The dream job title I was searching for wasn’t out there—so I decided to create it myself. I saw that conversations around sustainable fashion were growing, and people were beginning to care more. That gave me hope and the push to start building something on my own. 


Career

As a multidisciplinary artist, I juggle a lot on my own day to day. I run my website where I sell one-of-a-kind upcycled pieces that I make and also sell them at local markets around San Diego. On top of that, I take on client work doing animation videos and graphic design. I’m constantly creating content—planning shoots, coming up with concepts, filming, editing, and marketing everything myself. I also host upcycling workshops, collaborate with brands on creative projects, and consult for people launching their own sustainable brands.

Organization hasn’t always come naturally to me, so balancing all these projects has been a real challenge. But over time, I’ve built systems and routines that help me stay on top of everything and actually enjoy the process more. It’s not always the easiest job, but adapting, learning, and pushing forward has made the journey that much more rewarding and inspiring.
