About
Dog health and nutrition are not just my passion; they are my calling. My name is Riesa Renata from Melbourne, Australia, and together with my furry sidekick – Bowie – we are the creator of Master Bowie. I am a certified canine nutritionist, raw dog food specialist, author and dog chef who loves creating ‘Master Chef’ meals for my Labrador, Bowie and other dogs. Together with Bowie, I am on mission to spread joy through ‘Good Food’, inspiring, empowering and helping dog parents so they can nourish their dogs, one bowl at a time.
I was trained as a graphic designer and worked in corporate jobs before pivoting to follow my passion for dog nutrition. During the COVID pandemic, I began sharing the meals I made for Bowie, and it just grew organically from there – building the Master Bowie brand and community, becoming a certified canine nutritionist, writing and publishing two dog recipe books and becoming a dog chef.
Through my own experience with Bowie, I’ve witnessed firsthand the healing power of whole foods, and I truly believe that good health starts with good food. So, it’s as simple as that – I strive to make ‘Good Food’ for dogs – Real food that tastes good, looks good and most importantly makes our dogs feel good, physically and mentally!
Career
We all strive to find our own "ikigai" – our "reason for being" – by finding the intersection of what we love, what we're good at, what the world needs and what we can be paid for. What I currently do is my second go at finding my "ikigai".
I love what I do and feel a strong sense of purpose in it. I take immense pride in my work, crafting each dog food and recipe with care and love. Seeing the dogs relish the meals I make and the joy on their owners' faces is truly rewarding and fills me with immense joy.
