About
I’m Lauren—a lover of stylish and simple living. After the pandemic, I made the unexpected move from big-town life to the countryside. Now, I work at a pace that’s kind to my nervous system, allowing for slow mornings and sunsets with my husband and pup. You can usually find me crafting the perfect Negroni (both alcoholic and non), tackling the NYT mini-puzzles, or scrolling Pinterest for inspiration.
I recently celebrated my 40th birthday, and I truly believe that every year is a gift. Life’s too short to live by other people’s expectations—we should be building lives and businesses that genuinely light us up!
I never thought I’d work for myself full-time (even though I’ve always had side-hustles alongside full-time jobs), but in 2020, I heard God tell me to start The Smarter Creative to help creative business owners with their back-end systems—and I’ve been on this incredible journey ever since!

As a systems and strategy consultant through The Smarter Creative, I love partnering with busy, service-based creatives to help them find the best ways to run their business operations smoothly and efficiently.
I’m a Certified Dubsado Specialist and Notion Essentials Certified, and I’ve had the privilege of working with businesses across various industries—from Interior Designers to Influencer Agencies.
When you invite me into your business, it’s like bringing in a trusted organizer to tackle a messy garage. I’m here to help you sort through the chaos and put all the moving pieces in their right places, ensuring your systems work for you.

Virtual Career Tour: Through video chat, I will walk you through what I do for a living —covering job responsibilities, how to get started, the skills you’ll need, educational paths, insights from my own experience, etc. I'll answer as many of your questions as I can and share practical advice to help you take the next steps if this path aligns with your goals!
Many of my career responsibilities and insights are applicable worldwide, regardless of where you’re located. While I can share general advice and insights, I am unable to provide region-specific legal, tax, or business setup guidance. However, I can guide you through industry best practices and offer practical steps that are not location-specific.
