About
Hey there, I'm Dina! I'm a multi-passionate content creator, calligrapher and creative entrepreneur from Vancouver, Canada.
Since I was 20 years old, I've always secretly wanted to be my own boss, live a creative life, and make money doing something that I love. (I'm 30 as of 2024.)
A year into working at my first 9-5 job, I knew it was time to make a move.
Long story short, I started a side calligraphy business, sold greeting cards, and taught workshops for a few months before taking the leap to quit my job in 2019. I struggled a lot with imposter syndrome but I knew that I had to make a bet on myself.
Starting that calligraphy business was the first step in me building the business of my dreams: sharing my journey, making content, connecting with people, and having income streams to support a live of freedom and flexibility.
Since I quit my job, I've tried multiple things:
- teaching calligraphy workshops
- doing on-site calligraphy for brands
- offering business coaching for creatives
- building a YouTube channel (75,000+ subscribers as of August 2024)
- created an Etsy shop selling Canva templates
- started affiliate marketing -created and sold my own courses
I've always struggled with being multi-passionate and wanting to do all the things. For a really long time, I thought I had to pick just one niche or topic and stick with it, but whenever I tried doing that, I always felt trapped.
So now I'm embracing it—I'm doing all the things and I'm going to thrive.
Career
What I love most about what I do is the variety and freedom it brings. Whether I’m teaching calligraphy, creating content for my 75,000+ YouTube subscribers, or coaching other creatives, I’m always excited by the different ways I get to express myself and help others. Plus, I get to be creative every single day, which is a dream come true.
One of the coolest things I’ve done so far is living out my lifelong dream of becoming a digital nomad. I spent 7 months traveling around Southeast Asia last year, all while growing my business. Connecting with other creatives and building a life full of freedom and creativity has been so rewarding.
My YouTube journey has been quite the ride. It grew super slowly for the first two years, and I was honestly starting to wonder if it was ever going to take off. Then, I had a video about my first month on Etsy results blow up, and that’s when things really started to happen. I grew from 4,000 subscribers to 10,000 subscribers in one month.

Virtual Career Tour: Through video chat, I will walk you through what I do for a living —covering job responsibilities, how to get started, the skills you’ll need, educational paths, insights from my own experience, etc. I'll answer as many of your questions as I can and share practical advice to help you take the next steps if this path aligns with your goals!
Many of my career responsibilities and insights are applicable worldwide, regardless of where you’re located. While I can share general advice and insights, I am unable to provide region-specific legal, tax, or business setup guidance. However, I can guide you through industry best practices and offer practical steps that are not location-specific.
